[Music] NUSSU Band Challenge Winner Releases First Single “Ariel”

Take Two
Take Two

Contributing members of society by day, indie pop-rock outfit by night – leading a dual life is the name of  the game for Take Two. Formed in late 2012 having met in university, the quintet have since performed at NOISE Singapore’s 2013 showcase, the FEYST 2013 Indie Youth Festival in Kuala Lumpur, showcased as one of the main acts at Chiang Mai International Music Festival 2014, and have been featured twice at the Esplanade’s “Esplanade Presents” series. They were also part of the roster for SGMUSO’s first ever House Party, sharing the stage with notable contemporaries Charlie Lim, The Sam Willows and Kevin Lester.

Influenced by Brit Rock, Jazz and Indie Pop (among others), Take Two bring to you their own blend of guitar-driven musical incarnations, full of crafty chord work and foot-stomping grooves. The winner of NUSSU Band Challenge 2014 will be launching their new single “Ariel” on 19 May on their iTunes, BandCamp, and SoundCloud. Produced and recorded by Roland Lim at Sync Studios, “Ariel” features soaring guitar lines and heartfelt lyrics about the possibilities of finding love on an MRT. Yes, that’s right. That moment when you exchange glances with someone on a crowded train that leaves you wondering if it could lead to anything more. Watch “Ariel” Promo here.

Currently working on their debut EP, Take Two will be performing at Music Matters 2014 Festival in Singapore and EcoPop Festival 2014 in Madrid.
